This village in the mountains of Ronda is located at the foot of the Sierra de Jarastepar, north of the Valley Genal about 700 meters. Surrounded by some of rock formations to the north and south by land of hills and canyons populated by chestnut trees, oaks and pines, and close to the core rural crop of olive trees.

In San Juan, the town celebrates the feast tribute to Fray Leopoldo, where he organized several activities in a single day.
